Introduction

Absence management pharmaceuticals is a complex, time-consuming process for medical firms. Guerbet, a leader in pharmaceutical imaging, partnered with Ayming to streamline its absence management, ensuring compliance with social security regulations, boosting recovery rates, and freeing HR and payroll teams from administrative overload.

The Challenge

Guerbet’s internal payroll and HR teams were already managing a full portfolio of tasks. Absence management—coordinating with CPAM (health insurance), verifying indemnities (IJ subrogées), and monitoring return-to-work processes—was handled by a single, overworked employee working alternating shifts. The lack of continuity, limited bandwidth, and delays in reimbursement created cash flow strain and process inefficiencies. To resolve this, Guerbet launched a tender to delegate the entire absence management cycle to a specialized partner, from initial sick leave through medical return and indemnity recovery.
